At the Swiss National Brass Band Championships 2024, Oliver Waespi was presented with the Award of Merit of the Swiss Brass Band Association by Ariane Brun, former president of SBBA.

The Award of Merit SBBA (Verdienstauszeichnung SBBV) was introduced in honour of Ariane Brun, former president of the Swiss Brass Band Association. Former recipients include conductor Arsène Duc. Oliver Waespi was delighted to receive the Award from Ariane Brun on stage at the Salle blanche at KKL Lucerne, whilst a laudatio was presented by Régis Gobet, current resident of SBBA.
