Several works by Oliver Waespi will be performed at the upcoming European Brass Band Championships at the Brucknerhaus Linz (Austria): The new composition "West Wind" for brass band will be premiered as an own choice piece on Saturday 25 April 2026, when "Audivi Media Nocte" will be performed as well.

Meanwhile, the European Youth Brass Band, conducted by Karl Geroldinger, will feature "Theme and Variations" as part of a varied programme. The Concerto for Trombone, "Scene Change", has been chosen as one of the finals pieces in the European Soloist Competition.

The 2026 European Brass Band Championships promise to be another outstanding event, showcasing the best in brass composition, conducting and performance in Europe over several days. Further information is available  here  and here.
